Birding Mirador Rey Tepepul Reserva Natural, Santiago Atitlan

A subtropical humid forest and cloud forest,  located south of Volcano Atitlan,  we will take the boat across the lake to Santiago, and car to the mirador,   with great views to the lake and volcanoes and the pacific slope, these is a municipal park and communal land, the main produccion here is coffee, Maxan,  (banana leaves) abocado, the trail is up and down hill moderate hike, best season for Quetzal is from January to may,  also we will see other birds like the Emmerald Toucanet, the Brown backed solitaire, Band tail pigeon, the shy Blue throated Motmot, Crested Guan, Chestnut sided shrike vireo, Gray silky fly catcher, Hooded grosbeak, Azure Rumped Tanager, Quetzal Resplendent, and many migratory birds.
