The journey begins in Antigua Guatemala and concludes in Guatemala City, offering an unforgettable birdwatching adventure.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Antigua Birding

  • Arrival in Antigua Guatemala and hotel check-in
  • Afternoon birding in a nearby reserve for Blue-throated Motmot, Black-headed Siskin, and Bushy-crested Jay
  • Welcome dinner and trip briefing

Day 2: Tecpán & Biotopo del Quetzal

  • Early morning transfer to Tecpán for highland species, including the Pink-headed Warbler
  • Breakfast at a local lodge
  • Continue to Biotopo del Quetzal, one of the prime locations for observing the Resplendent Quetzal
