Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Introductory Birding

  • Arrival in Guatemala City and check-in at hotel
  • Afternoon birding in local parks and botanical gardens
  • Target species include the Bushy-crested Jay and Rufous Sabrewing
  • Welcome dinner and tour briefing

Day 2: Cloud Forest Birding at El Pilar & Pacaya Volcano

  • Early morning departure to Finca El Pilar near Antigua
