🗓️ Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Antigua Birding
- Arrive in Antigua Guatemala and transfer to your hotel.
- Afternoon birdwatching at Finca El Pilar, searching for hummingbirds, warblers, and the Blue-throated Motmot.
- Welcome dinner and tour briefing.
Day 2: Tecpán and Ranchitos del Quetzal
- Early transfer to Tecpán for highland birding, targeting the Pink-headed Warbler.
- Breakfast at a local lodge.
- Continue to Ranchitos del Quetzal to search for the Resplendent Quetzal.
- Overnight near the cloud forest.
Day 3: Horned Guan Expedition and Lake Atitlán
- Pre-dawn hike in search of the elusive Horned Guan and Highland Guan.
- Picnic breakfast on the trail.
- Afternoon birdwatching around Lake Atitlán, looking for the Azure-rumped Tanager and other regional specialties.
