🗓️ Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Birding in Antigua 🏛️🐦
Arrive in Antigua Guatemala and check in at your hotel. Enjoy an afternoon birding session at a nearby reserve, searching for species such as the Blue-throated Motmot, Bushy-crested Jay, and Black-vented Oriole.
Day 2 – Transfer to Los Tarrales & Lowland Birding 🚐🌿
Travel early to Los Tarrales Natural Reserve. Explore the lower forest trails in search of the White-bellied Chachalaca, Rufous-breasted Spinetail, and Long-tailed Manakin. In the afternoon, continue birding among the reserve’s shade-grown coffee plantations.
Day 3 – Highland Birding & Cloud Forest 🌲🐦
Head to the higher-elevation forests in search of the Azure-rumped Tanager, Emerald Toucanet, and Highland Guan. Continue along forest trails, followed by afternoon birding for parrots, motmots, and hummingbirds.
Day 4 – Sunrise Birding & Return to Antigua 🌅🦉
